June is Perennial Month so let's talk perennials...

My absolute favortie perennial is the Peony.  Peony's get the most beautiful flower and come in pink, red, white and yellow.

While it is best to stake these plants once they are in flower the extra work is so worth it.

Peonies bloom in May and June. The flowers make excellent cut flowers. They can last over a week in a vase.  It is best to cut them in the morning when the bud is still closed.

Peonies like full sun and are deer and rabbit resistant.
